Reba comes from some of the most competitive ancestors of the Golden Retriever breed. Her sire, Gentleman Bailey Gun N Gold MH WCX ** OS, got his AKC MH title in 5 straight passes.  He was Ducks Unlimited's Dog of the Year for the Mississippi Flyway 1997, third place 1995, and a finalist in 1996 and 1998. Bailey also passed Master Nationals three times (1995, '96, '97, qualified in '98 but did not attend).  He ribboned in 7 of 12 Qualifying Field Trials.  Bailey also qualified at 28 Master level tests from different organizations without a fail.  Bailey is a hard charging, athletic dog who LOVES the water!  He lives in his owner’s house when not competing and is an excellent family dog as well as waterfowl and upland bird dog.

Her dam, Sunshine TB Aslans Baby Lace JH, whipped through her Junior Title qualifications 4 for 4 by 14 months, hunted like a dream machine later that fall and after the litter of puppies that Reba was born from, made a Winter trip to Georgia with a Pro Handler that proved fatal.

Some of Reba’s offspring have the uncanny ability to detect pending seizures in people and other dogs.  Although they have not been formally trained, the owners are still warned of an upcoming episode and can make preparations.
One of Reba’s puppies went into a home where he would be used as a companion and a service dog, Jeanne Esch writes, “I think a service dog can be as much a help in bringing laughter into daily life...as they can with their help in daily tasks!

Tucker opens my Velcro shoes now and braces and pulls my socks off.  He can open the refrigerator and dryer and dishwasher.  Tucker can go under my leg to lift it onto the wheelchair footrest or into the car. He does know how to open the patio door, but this seems to be a task that Greko, my nearly 13 year old golden doesn't want to give up yet...and so Tucker bows out and lets Greko do open that door.  In the mornings and afternoons after eating, Greko and Tucker pick up their bowls to be put away.  Tucker has learned this and many other things from watching Greko.
Thank you for your part in choosing Tucker for me.  I don't know how you determined that he was the one that would be able to fulfill the challenge of being a service dog...but you did it and did it right! You obviously have great knowledge of dogs and talent in selecting the right puppy for the job...and the person!
