Decoy scored 196 at St Paul Dog Training, MN January 7, 2004.  He earned his CD in 3 consecutive days in St Paul, MN, also competing on January 8th and 9th, placing 3rd and 4th.

January 22, 2005 Decoy got his CGC, and on Sunday he finished his ASCA club CD, he scored a 197 placed second. He also had 3 passes in a row.

“Decoy” is a young dog that shows a lot of promise in obedience competition and working as a hunting companion.   He qualified for his first AKC Junior Hunt Test leg at barely six months old,  then he hunted through the fall.   He was training in the Hot Dog Classes at Animal Inn and doing an exceptional job.

The middle of May 2002, he titled with an HRC title at Started.  His water marks are dynamic, hits the water with a big splash and aggressively makes his way to the fall.  I was so impressed with the looks of him that I bred Maze in the next heat, (I had to have one of these puppies).  I have a female sibling to him that I named Shuga, and the following year I kept another female, “Baby” from an identical mating . Both girls are everything I want to see in a female golden. Decoy wins first Senior Hunter TITLE at Blackhawk Retriever Club, Mondovi WI !!!!!  Linda Kiey, owner, trainer and handler of Int. Ch HR Sunshine on Golden Pond CD RN SH WC CGC qualified at the NFHRA Hunt Test, June 3, 2006 at Kelley Farms, Marine on the St Croix, MN, also at Rice Creek, again at NFHRA Fall Test.
