Sadie is on her way!!!!!   Mike Riippa, owner sent these comments from the NFHRA Hunt Test, June 3, 2006 at Kelley Farms, Marine on the St Croix, MN.

"As she had just completed her SH 2 weeks before, I entered Sadie in NFHRA Spring  Master Test . Sadie was ran fantastic marks. The last series was a triple & honor. 2 birds down the shore to the right. A 180 degree swing and a flier at about 40 yard."

"Sadie got the first two and the long water memory is her kiss of death. She went out. At about 20 yd, I knew she didn't remember it. I let her try & work it out.... She finally got most of the way there. (But was about 30-40 yd into the water. I gave her a couple of overs and got her to it.  She held the honor.  First Master Leg!!!!!"

Henry did a fantastic job at the GTCGRC WC-WCX , he passed and earned his WCX on September 4, 2004.
There were 24 dogs that ran in our division at Blackhawk AKC Hunt Test. They qualified 6.  There was a yellow that qualified and then the Sunshine-GoodTime boy did too.  We had a pretty tough spring and summer. We were fortunate to get a leg on Sunday at Rice Creek. Also, got one at NFHRA (Sadie got one there also) and now we finished the fall with Blackhawk. -- This was Henry's Senior Title Day!!

He did a good job with a tough setup. Had 3 other pros running dogs and none of them qualified dogs. Gotta get back to work. Thought I would let you both know that your "little boy" is on the move to bigger and better things...   Mike Rippa

Saturday, March 15, 2003 Badger State Hunting Retriever Club sponsored a Double Header Upland Test at Eagle Dog Training Area, Eagle, Wisconsin.  Three members of Land of Lakes Hunting Retriever Club were all competing that day and all three titled.  Sadie was the only Golden, making her the first Golden Retriever to achieve her Upland Hunter Title in Minnesota.  She was also the youngest; the labs were 2 and 3 years older than she.  Sadie also went four for four, always qualifying during her competitions.

As this was the first Upland Tests that Mike had every seen, he really caught on quick.  He and Sadie make a great team, and Sunshine Goldens is extremely proud of their accomplishments.   Susan and Steve
